“The finest language is mostly made up of simple unimposing words.”

About Stephanie C. Mitchell
I believe in the power of words.
Spoken or written, the right words can change everything.
My unique career path has led straight to this point: where I’m helping others choose the right words.
I have a bachelor of journalism degree with first-class honours from the University of King’s College and a law degree from the University of Victoria. For more than ten years, I worked as a radio news reporter and producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. I’ve also worked in government communications and law school administration.
This journey has found me living in numerous cities across Canada — from the West Coast to the East Coast. I’m now smack dab in the middle, making my home in beautiful Ottawa, Ontario.
When I’m not helping others become better communicators, I can be found outside looking for the next lake to swim in and mountain to climb.
